To verify network coverage or identify interference in any area, it is essential to combine receiver measurements with GPS location tags or from indoor markers. Option 352 adds indoor and outdoor mapping capabilities to FieldFox analyzers by importing and displaying maps from OpenStreetMap (OSM) for data collection and mapping. OSM maps can be saved to the FieldFox internal memory, SD card or USB drive. This can be done via a direct wired LAN connection or OSM maps can be downloaded and saved to FieldFox using the FieldFox Map Support Tool. In addition, when the FieldFox handheld analyzer with Option 352 is combined with a USB triaxial antenna (p/o EMF Measurements – Option 358), it provides a unique portable solution for indoor and outdoor mappings in the field.

The FieldFox indoor and outdoor mapping feature resides at the System level and the mapping capability can be enabled within the following modes:

• Channel Scanner (Option 312)
• Phased Array Antenna Support (Option 360)
• Over-the-Air (OTA) LTE FDD/TDD (Option 370/371)
• Over-the-Air (OTA) 5GTF (Option 377)
• Over-the-Air (OTA) 5G NR (Option 378)
• Mapping is currently not available in SA or RTSA modes

Indoor and outdoor mapping (Option 352) requirements:

• Spectrum analyzer mode (Option 233)
• GPS receiver (Option 307), required for outdoor mapping
