The N1414A adapter simplifies the connection for high-resistance measurements for a electrometer/high resistance meter. You can only use a triaxial cable for current measurement and a banana cable to bias the DUT (a high-value resistor). In addition by using this adapter, sourced voltage can be monitored by the Voltmeter without changing connection.
