DC Bias Source
The integrated DC bias source can internally add a DC voltage of up to ±40 VDC to the AC source signal at port-1 or the LF OUT port. Additionally, it allows for supplying only the DC voltage from the LF OUT port while conducting measurements on a DUT at the S-parameter test port.
General S-Parameter Measurements From 5 Hz to 3 GHz
The built-in 50 ohm S-parameter test set fully covers the frequency range of 5 Hz to 3 GHz. It enables you to measure S-parameters of not only RF devices such as filters, amplifiers, and antennas, but also low-frequency devices such as xDSL filters and power-line EMI filters at the same test ports without using external test sets. It also allows you to evaluate broadband devices such as data cables, transformers, PDNs (power delivery networks), and broadband amplifiers over a wide frequency range with a single sweep.
Gain-Phase Test Port
The gain-phase test port offers direct receiver access for low-frequency applications ranging from 5 Hz to 30 MHz. With built-in 1 MΩ inputs, it facilitates easy in-circuit probing measurements for amplifiers and DC-DC converter control loops. The receiver ports can precisely measure an amplifier’s Common-Mode Rejection Ratio (CMRR), Power Supply Rejection Ratio (PSRR), and Power Distribution Network (PDN) milliohm impedance by eliminating ground loop measurement errors.
High-Impedance Probing
The built-in probe power for connecting an external active probe enables you to perform high-impedance probing measurements for devices that must be tested at higher frequencies, such as high-speed op-amps, as well as those with very small probing capacitance, such as ceramic IF filters, oscillator circuits, and antenna coils.
Internal Hard Disk Drive
Store and recall instrument states, calibration data, and trace data into internal hard drive. Trace data can be saved in CSV (comma separated value) format. All files are MS-DOS-compatible. Instrument states include all control settings, limit lines, segment sweep tables, and memory trace data. Internal hard disk drive (D:) can be accessed from an external Windows PC through LAN.
