The APHSPXX Series of Signal Generators
The APHSPXX is a line of signal generators known for their exceptionally low phase noise and ultra-rapid switching capabilities. They operate within a frequency range of 10 MHz (or 1 kHz with the 1K option) to as high as 51 GHz (model dependant). These generators are perfect for various applications that demand high-quality signals, precise and broad output power ranges. They offer superior phase noise, excellent spurious and harmonic rejection, and a cutting-edge switching speed of 5 μs (with option FS). Models are listed as:
- APHSP12 High performance signal generator up to 12.75 GHz
- APHSP20 High performance signal generator up to 20 GHz
- APHSP40 High performance signal generator up to 40 GHz
- APHSP50 High performance signal generator up to 51 GHz
These devices use a highly stable OCXO reference for outstanding frequency accuracy and stability. They can accept a broad spectrum of external references, including the frequently used 10 and 100 MHz for enhanced phase synchronization. They also offer a flexible reference selection within the 1-250 MHz range for applications that require specific reference frequencies. The APHSPXX also includes a pair of ANAPICO-specific high-frequency CLK ports (3 GHz, one input and one output), enabling superior phase synchronization across the outputs of multiple ANAPICO devices with similar ports.
The APHSPXX comes in a desktop enclosure (single-channel) or 19 inch 2U (up to 4 channels) rack-mountable module form. It can be intuitively controlled by a PC based GUI Software. It provides multiple communication interfaces such as USB, LAN, or GPIB (optional), each facilitating quick and straightforward communication using the SCPI 1999 command set. The device can be remotely controlled from any host system with ease. It supports a customer-provided application programming interface (API) or programming examples for Matlab, Labview, C++, and other widely used tools, simplifying the control implementation process.
